Did you happen to see the made-for, Going for Broke, on Lifetime a few years ago? Didn't think so. I didn't either. But I'm not exactly in Lifetime's target demo.
Anywhoo.
The telefilm told the real-life story of a woman who became a compulsive gambler. It was critically acclaimed. It was heart-wrenching. And a huge number of women are addicted to gambling.
Sounds like the perfect recipe for a reality show. Lifetime thinks so to.
Lifetime filed docs on October 4, 2006 to protect Going for Broke for a "reality-based television series."
