TiVo needs to make a deal with MySpace.
When TiVo first came to market, TiVo Suggestions were all the rage. Early adopters had similar-enough tastes that recommendations were reasonable. As TiVo got more subscribers, its Suggestions became less relevant.
The masses are good at estimating what most viewers like, but the masses can't easily predict what a market segment might watch. Relevant suggestions for individuals? Forget it.
What if TiVo let you link your MySpace page to your TiVo box? You'd probably think about it. And you might even convince your MySpace friends to add links to their TiVos. And they'll convince their friends. And so on. It's just the Fabergé Organics shampoo effect.
Now you have a personalized network for suggestions. Your closest friends have the largest effect. Their friends have less of an impact. And their friends count even less.
But that's a group that can make good Suggestions for you.

I am a myspace visitor and I have seen many times Tivo banners in www.myspace.com
I will get my Tivo to deliver my home videos and any of those funny web videos directly to my friends TV. I don't know if that is possible already. Anyone?
I knew for sure, it will be possible soon with a TiVoCast.
