Sony Pictures Television (SPT) is developing The Minisode Network, which will deliver "edited television programs" via "television, wireless mobile devices or the internet." (Source: USPTO Trademark filing; Serial Number 77018310; Filing Date October 11, 2006)
I assume that SPT will only provide summary clips and funny bits to try to maximize viewer interest. SPT did not respond to my e-mail requesting more info.
