Interstitial microseries are all the rage this year. Nets are trying anything to keep us watching commercials.
Nickelodeon showed "At the Poocharelli's." Animal Planet presented "Meow Mix House." tbs is airing "lovebites." The CW has 30-second aerie interstitials for American Eagle.
Now. Coming to a TV near you. "Cutie Karaoke." But that's like six syllables. We can't have that; so the show may air as "Cute-oke" instead.
On September 25, Viacom filed trademark docs to protect both of these phrases.
I wonder if we'll have to hear kids singing pop songs on Nickelodeon during SpongeBob next year. That'll just be painful — reminds me too much of those nails-on-a-chalkboard Kidz Bop CDs.
